Founder

I'm a full-stack developer and serial entrepreneur. My UX work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, and I previously co-founded Craftle, a Techstars-backed AI company with 100k+ users.

I built PlainEDI after seeing too many retail suppliers struggle with complex EDI files. The existing solutions were either expensive enterprise software or required technical expertise to operate. I wanted to create something that any supplier could use to convert EDI files to CSV in seconds, without needing an IT department.

Why I Built PlainEDI

Retail suppliers know the pain of EDI files. You get these cryptic text files from Walmart, Target, or Amazon filled with tildes and asterisks. Most suppliers either pay thousands for enterprise EDI software or manually copy-paste data into spreadsheets — both terrible options.

I built PlainEDI to solve this specific problem: convert EDI files to clean, organized CSV files that open in Excel instantly. No complex setup. No monthly contracts. Just upload your file, preview the data, and export when ready.

Unlike AI-powered tools that might guess at field meanings, PlainEDI uses deterministic parsing based on X12 standards. That means you get the same accurate output every time — critical when you're processing purchase orders, invoices, and shipment data.
